Movies to watch while on DRUGS!!!

Not a PC thread.. but come on... what are your favorite Films that you've seen while STONED or shroomed or LSD'd out of your mind to. The ones with revelations..or shitty films that are Oscar worthy with an altered mind?

Me:


Monsters Inc.

I smoked my first Vaporizer hits before going to see pixar/Disney's Monsters Inc. I laugh my ass off and was completely creeped out my the Salamander character...whom my stoney mind thought was an actual presence from my childhood hauting me through the big screen.


Lost Highway.

I saw this while around 16 years old...sober... I got snuck in by an adult with my best friend, and we thought we were so cool for seeing a David Lynch film...R rated at that. Not until adulthood and some greenery did i unearth every corner of the mystery. However I can not remember those revelations. wonder why.

    I don't think it's un-pc at all. Maybe for a fundamentalist Christian or someone that is totally againt drug use. I care NOT what they think. Their opinions don't matter to me.

    Growing up, the ultimate movies to watch while stoned were Heavy Metal, Creepshow & Led Zep. Was it Song Remains the Same? It was a video. Damn. I can't remember the name of that now. I don't get high much anymore. I used to like to get high and watch Planet of the Apes, Escape From New York, The Warriors, Matrix.

    Any Warhol moive
    Godard's Weekend and Alphaville
    Harold and Maude
    2001
    Clockwork Orange
    Apocalypse Now
    Candy
    any Antonioni movie, especially Zabriske Point

    Thats a good start. I'll keep thinking about this. (OMG, I'm having a flashback!)

        Memories! Toby Dammit was apart of Spirits of the dead..a collection on Poe stories from the 70's...Passolini directed a segment ..which i forgot.

        I was 16 when i discovered this...and Pasolini and i was a stoner and somehow thought i was Pasolini reincarnated... (pot is one helluva drug) anyhow... My elective in High school was Computer animation and I was into Nine inch nails at the time..i wore tight tee shirts and a black nail polish was cool...(merely being a teen is being on drugs). I saw Toby Dammit and a tried to incorporate it into a nine inch nails song from the fragile.. The big come down. I was obsessed with the beheading scene... and I animated that into animation which caught the eye of the high school principal who asked me...

        "are you feeling like you want to hurt someone?"

        I explained to her i was inspired by Fellini from a movie i rented called spirits of the dead which i originally saw on Cinemax.

        She didn't believe me. I was closely watched for the entire year. and told to remove the beheading scene...with trent reznors head superimposed onto a badly drawn guy in a chevorlet falling off a cliff. but hitting the top of an expanding bridge.


        I was such a warped kid.

        I digress. Memories.

      Ya Copper, any thing with the Muppets rocks, among other things like that - H.R. Puffenstuff, Iron Giant, and Disney's Alice In Wonderland. Or... any combination thereof... www.youtube.com/watch

      Pi, Eraserhead, Blair Witch and (the only way those make sense is when your baked). To a lesser degree the Charlie Kaufman movies (Being John Malkovich, Adaptation, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind) make more sense when you can view them from an alternate plane.

      Of course the fun of Half Baked, Dazed and Confused, Heavy Metal; and an appreciation of the philosophy in 12 Monkeys, any Star Trek episode, Planet of the Apes, and for me the Kung Fu tv series is awesome: www.youtube.com/watch
