Not that I put a ton of stake in reviews, but so far they don't seem good:

I might watch it on DVD someday. I think the Wachowski Bros lost their magic after the first two Matrix films.

Popcorn movie. Irrelevant plot, eye-popping cinematography and CG, Christina Ricci. My five year-old daughter loved it. Have any of you ever watched the kid show "Lazy Town"? It reminded me of a combination of that and Blade Runner, somehow.

I forgot about it the moment I left the theatre, but didn't leave wanting a refund. A decent way to spend two hours.

That's actually a decent, succinct review. I may now go see it. Thanks!

Speed Racer looks like tedious effluvia to me. Stick a fork in the Wachowskis.

I thought even the first Matrix movie had serious problems, and many of its best ideas were shamelessly stolen from Grant Morrison's "The Invisibles".

          Now, "Bound", there's a movie!

            Speed Racer is ok.

            Bound is their best movie.

I don't get "Bound". I've tried. Wanted to like it. It comes across as a self-consciously "hip" movie with some hot lesbian sex. Frankly, I'd take Tony Scott's mediocre "The Hunger" if that's what I was looking for.
I like the first Matrix. It's probably the only film they've been involved with that I like. And yes, that includes "V For Vendetta".

Speed Racer was better than I expected, but I wasn't expecting much. A little too long. The story drags between the action scenes, but the action scenes are fun - a cross of Hot wheels and drift racing. The colors are bright, shiny and primary. My wife said it reminded her of Dick Tracy. I was thinking the old tv batman series for colors and villains. Overall, Humor and special effects gets this movie through. My 12 year old daughter loved it.
